Starting to use HUGO as a blog platform

For two decades I have been using WordPress as my goto blog platfrom. I have several personal blog sites running on WordPress, such as

I have also managed some club web pages that are running on WordPress.

Over the years WordPress has come a long way and has developed a lot, but for a long time already I have felt tthat it is very bloated and hard to manage. Not to mention that WP sites are the favourite target for hackers and WP is very vulnerable. The old LAMP stack way with SQL daabase and PHP backend feels somewaht outdated and stale in 2025.

I started to look for some modern alternatives and after lot of research decided to try out Hugo. So here it is, my Hugo based blog.
